Dinner Guests - to be or to have

Ava and I went to dinner at the Swan residence with Chris, Ev and Mull. Ava actually STAYED with Uncle Chris while Evelyn and I went to store for dessert, a LOT of dessert. BUT! before we could be guests at dinner, we had to be hosts for our own guests.... look at these crazy kids.

OMG COLD

But nothing has slowed down. Erica showed Highland Rose twice in two days to the same people. I went out yesterday and took some pics of the view in the sunny, frigid temps.

Girls' Lunch

Fun lunch today at Bangkok in Ellsworth. Kathe, Jen, Kim, Laurie, Mary, Lisa and me. The only one missing was Robin but she is lucky in Florida. The pic of all of us is too dark but this one is fun but missing Jen and Kathe.

Deer naps...

Poor babies, Ava must be so annoying just barking and barking - they let her sleep, you would think she would return the favor.

No Plow

This is the problem when you count on your little brother and/or your ex husband to plow you out. Thank goodness for Clive the Range Rover.

Ev and Av and I are on a Sea Glass mission. Waiting for low tide now to go on another search - hope the snow doesn't beat low tide.

Ava's Friends

Ava took a very short nap, no barking from inside, so Ev and I saw these guys looking in house for her. By the time I got camera, Ava had woken up and was yelling at them..

On Patrol

Ava on deer patrol. Unfortunately, or fortunately, they are going to be around even more because we have been forced to offer them sustenance. They are wandering around the neighborhood, I saw them today on my neighbor's front steps. They are very hungry so we got them food but tried to put it where Ava can't see them, which is hard. But they ignore her anyway these days....

Bad pictures of me...

Funny how I don't really care if a photo of me is bad anymore if Ava looks cute. Funny how all pictures of me are bad. Luckily Ava always looks good, or at least silly. Chris took this while we were all in his office today talking about "stuff". John, Mom and Chris were obviously not talking about anything that Av cared about... she was kinda bored.

Subtle

I was looking at a bunch of pictures today and I'm even surprised how perfect but soo understated that the hallways at Danforth are. The baccarat crystal doorknobs can then shine and the woodwork doesn't fade into the background.

Diamond Rio

Watching a Diamond Rio concert on Direct TV channel and remembering the blast we had hanging out at a NASCAR race and ending up spending the end of the evening hanging out on Tony Stewart's bus.

Diamond Rio was the musical guest and national anthem peformers so Chevy, Beth, was hosting them and I was along for help :-) Ended up going everywhere with the guys, pit road (still have the lug nuts from Tony's wheel change during practice) to the garages, EVEN to the driver's meeting which was incredible. One of the DR guys just held my hand and people thought I was his girlfriend and nobody questioned it.

Brian introduced me to Tony behind the stage when drivers were being introduced before they sang and they are his favorite band. "Kim, do you know Tony?" Oh yeah, sure I do.... :-)

Part way through the race Tony wrecked and called Marty and we all ended up hanging out and watching the rest of the race on his bus with him. Good, good times.

I think I need to get out of this self imposed hibernation from a social life and start having fun again!
