Just for keeping up with what is going on and the answer to why I don't have time for a personal life.

Oh 2012.....
How I am sure I will love you.... but! if you would just wait a bit longer and give us all a little more time to get ready for you it would be much appreciated.
I need to finish budgets for inns and resorts, marketing plans and policy changes for a real estate company, music launch schedule for a music publishing group and that is just today.
So, please, understand and SLOW down your approach. I would rather welcome you with open arms than a mere glance up from a melting keyboard....

congratulations tony stewart!!
Went back in the archives to find this pic on Tony Stewart's bus with Tony and the guys from Diamond Rio at the Rock & Roll 400 a few years ago at Charlotte.
Incredible day, got to go to the driver's meeting, behind stage when Diamond Rio sang National Anthem - whole thing. I even have lug nuts from Tony's car :-) Thank goodness for memories because nothing that exciting happens anymore.

Danforth
Danforth has been closed for the last few days and Alyssa and I worked constantly to make a bunch of quick changes and improvements and plans - Ava was right there the whole time, I left her for 3 minutes one time in the room alone and this is what I found when I returned.... what did I expect with her new treats there?

20 years without a hamburger...
20 years ago tonight JB and I were celebrating his birthday gambling in the Bahamas when we got on a cold streak at blackjack so went into the theater and saw City Slickers. After seeing that movie, starting that very moment, I never ate red meat again, poor little Norman and his family and friends. Never again.
Waterfall
Just a few seconds of peace - the iphone movement results from Ava pulling on me to keep walking.

My date tonight... very sad.
I have been so looking forward to dinner at Side Street tonight with my friends, the Costons and one of Erica's pomegranate martinis. Alas, it appears that since I can hardly turn my head and my shoulders and neck are soooooooooo sore and tight, Mom has set me up with a date that may save me. Just microwave him to get him warmed up for 1 - 2 minutes and relief is in sight. I actually think it is working.... owwwwwwwwwwwwww....

Latest Girl's Dinner
Love this -
DOG FOR SALE:
A guy is driving around the back woods of Montana and he sees a sign in front of a broken down shanty-style house: 'Talking Dog For Sale 'He rings the bell, and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard. The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever sitting there.
'You talk?' he asks. 'Yep,' the Lab replies. After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says 'So, what's your story?' The Lab looks up and says, 'Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I was told I could work for the CIA. In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would be eaves dropping.' 'I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running... But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals.' 'I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired.'
The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog. 'Ten dollars,' the guy says. 'Ten dollars? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?' 'Because he's a liar. He's never been out of the yard'
