Just for keeping up with what is going on and the answer to why I don't have time for a personal life.

So nice!
Beautiful flowers just arrived at Danforth from my wonderful friends Pat and Chris Coston - making opening night at Carmen at The Danforth all the more beautiful!
More about Carmen at The Danforth
Just out today in New, Novel and Noteworthy - restaurant critic John Golden included CATD in his story about happenings in Maine restaurant world. We are so fortunate. Love this.
Another star chef comes to Portland in the guise of Carmen at the Danforth.
Chef Carmen Gonzalez was lured to Maine from Florida by her long-time friend, Kim Swan, the hotelier (The Danforth and the Pomegranite) and real estate honcho (Swan Sotheby’s International Realty).
The inn, a historic Georgian Revival mansion and one of the grandest in the city, has transformed its principal first floor rooms into three beautifully appointed dining rooms. Cocktails are served in the main salon before diners segue to the three beautifully furnished dining rooms.
Gonzalez is renowned for her Latin-inspired cooking that merges an American sensibility with the bold flavors of her Puerto Rican roots.
The restaurant opens this Friday and it promises to be one of the most luxurious dining spots in town. It will serve dinner nightly and a Sunday brunch.

Smugglers Cove - Boothbay
I am so psyched to get to Smugglers next week and start working on being ready for a great 2012 Season. This shot that Carol took of the magic light from the sunset is so beautiful.

Fodor's Review of Danforth Inn
Danforth Inn Review
New ownership and extensive redecorating have transformed a once-shabby 1823 inn with grandmotherly decor into a stunning showpiece. It stands on a block known in the early 19th century as "Social Corners" for the elaborate parties the owners hosted in what is now the downstairs lounge area. Updated with modern furnishings, the space has a glamorous, Old Hollywood feel: you almost expect a young Elizabeth Taylor to come waltzing through the double doors. The guest rooms are individually decorated with vibrant patterns and original artwork; most have working fireplaces. Room 3, with its semicircle design, bank of windows, and crystal chandelier over the bed, is exquisite.Just saw this restaurant on FoodNetwork
