Music to Help Mainers

BAR HARBOR — Many Maine recording artists are joining the Maine Credit Union League’s Ending Hunger Campaign by lending their talents to “The Amazing Music of Mainers” in hopes of providing one million meals to Maine families from the sales of the album.

Included among the 26 participating artists are: Dan Fogelberg, Don McLean, Noel Paul Stookey, Jonathan Edwards, Tim Sample, Paul Sullivan, Aztec Two Step, Devonsquare, Schooner Fare, Gordon Bok, David Mallett, and Cindy Bullens.

The album is a pet project of Bar Harbor’s Kim Swan.

The two-disc compilation includes a booklet filled with stories of the artists’ backgrounds, their musical histories, and their connection to Maine.

CDs can be purchased at local Maine credit unions, as well as all Bull Moose, Mr. Paperback, Best Buy, Borders and The Swan Agency Sotheby’s International Realty locations. Online purchases can be made at www.mainevillepublishing.com and www.exiles.com.

is THREE years old today!! She didn't know what to make of her birthday treats from Trader Joe's at first but she has now learned to love them and the chewing sound may drive me to turn music up. 2011 Marketing Campaign Starts Today

Having so much fun working on marketing for Bar Harbor's first Boating Community, Bogue Chitto, in Hulls Cove. I don't have time to do brokerage myself anymore but once in a while a project comes along that I can't resist. There are going to be five new oceanfront homes, gorgeous. It is a Paul Paradis and Brian Shaw project so you know it will be great quality!

Ohhhh... NOT a happy camper this year - the lion cub costume not a puppy favorite. Ava is pulling her Yorkshire, British, upper class attitude on me and making it next to impossible to get a Halloween pic this year. But I am LMAO trying... :-))))

Landscape...

In the constant tug of war between Mom and Dad and whether a tree should never be cut and whether many trees should be cut - there is a beautiful middle where lots of big trees come down to let others grow bigger and grander AND there is actually light in my house. Dad can look at landscape like I can look at interiors - lots of people can't see what we see something looking like but then voila - Ahhhhh!!!

Time to bring NU to Maine. Finding Maine venues for Nashville Unplugged in December. Can't wait. Aaron Benward with Brian McComus and Keith Andersen. I remember playing Pickin' Wildflowers over and over and over again. In fact, I think it was the first song I downloaded to my ipod.

Jordan Stream

Mom and Ava and I added on the Jordan Stream loop today - 3 good, fast miles. The leaves are slowly going away though.... Only 16 more to get to 100.

At 2:00 I already had tons of work done, AND gone on a walk on Mr. Rockefeller's Carriage Roads with Mom, Dad, Ava and Mulligan (Mug even got to be off leash because Grampa was there to handle him.... kinda ;-) NOW Ava and I have harvested the rest of the basil and it is pesto making time.
